Of all the mental health books I’ve read to date, “The Happiness Trap” by Russ Harris is probably the most actionable. It’s based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and is packed with useful tools to help you in the pursuit of mind fitness. Theory is great. But practice is even better. In order to train your mind and ultimately optimize your experience, you need exercises to perform. After all, reading about physical fitness isn’t going to give you six-pack abs. Working out and eating right will. This book is a great starter kit for getting mental reps in.
Thanks for the recommendation - I will check it out.
